IT STARTS WITH THE TREES
collaborating with Amorim, put together a research journey to broaden our understanding and rediscovered cork through a new lens
for centuries montado, the cork forests of south eastern portugal, has underpinned the socioeconomic health of the region,supporting the rich, biodiverse ecosystems across the landscape of the greater mediterranean basin.
during 2023 we split different characteristics from cork to study and expand its capacities applying them to transform everyday textures, objects and products into an elevate sustainable alternative
this research extended to see the cork forrests in portugal and tour and practice our findings in the amorim factories
canal st market hosted our exhibition for nyc design week
with daniel michalik, dinneth espinoza, and molly martin, we created a spectacular exhibition of the work created through the course of six months with our ideas and projects evolving in every stage.
